Lecture: “The Persistence of Africa’s Big Men: State-Society Relations and Democracy in Africa”

Dr. Olajumoke Yacob-Haliso, associate professor of political science and public administration at Babcock University in Nigeria, will present “The Persistence of Africa’s Big Men: State-Society Relations and Democracy in Africa” in 510 Ross Hall on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. A reception will be held following the lecture.

Yacob-Haliso is an American Council of Learned Societies/African Studies Association Presidential Fellow.
