This spring’s Reiman Speaker Series and luncheon will feature Terry Rich (speech communications, ’74) as he shares his story of becoming an idea dude, entrepreneur, and zoo dude. Rich is the president and CEO of the Iowa Lottery and author of the book “Dare to Dream, Dare to Act”. Prior to that, he was CEO of the Blank Park Zoo; president and CEO of Rich Heritage Inc., a national marketing and television production company which produced shows for HBO, ESPN and Comcast, among others; and vice president of marketing for Heritage Communications Inc. As an entrepreneur, Terry developed Rich Heritage Inc., along with four other companies including radio station KBBM, US Digital Video, Newsletter Ease, and the World Championship Socker League, LLC.

He has appeared on national television in many roles, including ABC, NBC, CBS, 20/20, CNN, Bob and Tom Radio Show; as movie host on Starz!; and as a panel guest on the “Tonight Show.” Terry is the past President of the North American Lottery Association which is responsible for raising over 70 billion dollars for state’s good causes and also serves on the board of Powerball.

Lunch will be provided buffet-style from ISU Dining. Registration is required for the event.

The Reiman Entrepreneurial Speaker Series was established through a generous gift from Roy and Bobbi Reiman of Greendale, Wisconsin. The lecture series features an entrepreneurial guest who spends time at Iowa State University meeting with students, faculty, and business leaders. The guest speaker also gives a community lecture on campus.
