Michael Young, associate professor of mathematics, and a team of doctoral mathematics students will host “Redefining Math.”

Designed for both teens and adults, this workshop provides a casual, fun atmosphere in which to learn about math. The program is also an opportunity to examine how negative math experiences may be impacting your ability to learn and understand mathematical concepts.

The program will include thoughtful discussion as well as games, puzzles and other activities that involve basic math concepts.

“Redefining Math” will be held at the Ames Public Library in the Farwell T. Brown Auditorium on Wednesday, November 13 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
