Kelly Winfrey, Iowa State assistant professor with the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication and faculty with the Leadership Studies Program with the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics, will discuss the psychological and sociological reasons for the gender gap in American Politics. Her upcoming book, "Understanding How Women Vote: Gender Identity and Political Choices," uncovers the psychological and sociological reasons for the gender gap in American politics. This event is free and open to the public. Cosponsored by the AAUW Ames, the Ames Public Library, the Catt Center, and the League of Women Voters of Ames and Story County.
